The Lucky Star Ranch, a 2000 acre managed wildlife preserve in the Thousand Islands region of upstate New York, is home to one of North Americas few Pere David's Deer herds. The ranch has the unique distinction of mirroring the critically endangered Pere David's Deer natural habitat. With the Lucky Star Ranch's swamps, wetlands and 100 acre lake our breeding herd of Pere David's Deer thrive naturally.

The mission of Lucky Star Ranch's managed wildlife preserve is to raise awareness on and conserving the habitat not only critical to our Pere David's Deer herd, but to many other species of wildlife and plants.
